๐Ÿš Sesame Halva Brown Rice Crispy๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

If you love the crunch of baklava and the sweetness of halva, this 8 ingredient slice is the perfect healthy substitute and so simply to make, no baking required.

Itโ€™s also gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free, but still full yummy crunchy flavour.

Inspiration came from a big bag of Real brown rice crisps cereal ๐Ÿฅฃ I had in my pantry from @therealcerealcompany which make the best clean cereals!

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Raw Local Honey
  • 3/4 cup Tahini
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Dry Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Real Brown rice crisps
  • 1 tsp Maldon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup crushed pistachios for topping
  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the wet ingredients: raw local honey, tahini, coconut oil, and pure vanilla extract. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. In a separate large mixing bowl, add the dry ingredients: real brown rice crisps, Maldon sea salt, and toasted sesame seeds. Stir to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  3. Pour the wet ingredient mixture over the dry ingredient mixture. Using a spatula or your hands, gently mix everything together until the brown rice crisps are evenly coated with the wet mixture.
  4. Line a square or rectangular baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture into the baking dish and press it down firmly to create an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the crushed pistachios evenly over the top of the mixture.
  6. Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hours, or until the mixture sets and becomes firm.
  7. Once the slice has set, remove it from the refrigerator and carefully lift it out of the baking dish using the parchment paper. Place it on a cutting board.
  8. Using a sharp knife, slice into squares, rectangles, or any other shape you prefer.
